Leicester City have extended the contract of midfielder Wilfred Ndidi by two years, keeping him at the club until June 2024.
The 27-year-old has been with the Foxes since arriving from Benfica in 2015 and has established himself as one of the most important players in the squad.
Ndidi has made over 200 appearances for Leicester across all competitions and has helped the team to win several major honours, including the Premier League title in 2016-17.
The news comes after a difficult few months for the player, who was heavily linked with a move away from the club during the January transfer window.
However, Ndidi remained committed to his current club and showed his commitment to the team by agreeing to sign a new contract extension.
"Wilfred is an integral part of our team and we're delighted that he will continue to be a key member of the squad," said manager Brendan Rodgers.
"We've had some tough times recently but I'm confident that with the experience and character he brings,Ligue 1 Express he can help us get back on track."
Ndidi's signing of the new contract is also a positive development for the club, which has struggled with injuries and form this season.
With the team currently in the middle of a difficult period, it's great to see Ndidi showing his loyalty and dedication to the club.
It remains to be seen how long he'll stay at Leicester, but with his impressive performances and leadership qualities, there's no doubt that he'll continue to be a key player for the team for many more seasons to come.
